Dear Customer,
Further information has been released in regard to the strike action on 29th July and 1st August 2022.
We have been assured that all appointments on 29th July and 1st August will remain in place, however the appointment book for these dates has now been closed. Openreach will prioritise repair and endeavour to hit their SLA's using contractor and resource and direct labour. In regard to escalations, we may see some degradation in the SLA both during the strike period and 2-3 days after.
Openreach has indicated that, if needed, the priority staircase used in the first COVID lockdown will be reintroduced, focusing on Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) orders. Government guidance has been taken on what sectors are classed as Critical National Infrastructure and the below list has been released:
Blue light – repair and provision – emergency services
Welfare and vulnerable repair
CNI repair
CNI provision
Major service outages, major incidents, and emergency safety incidents (prioritised on volume and effect/impact)
Repair for loss of service
Repair
Provision
Proactive build
BAU build
FVR (fault volume reduction) proactive repair of the network
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and update you as the events unfold.
Best regards,
