The Christian Supply Chain Buying Group UK (CSCBG UK) has been operating in the UK since 2014 and is a serving ministry of Christian Residential Network (CRNet), a non-denominational membership association of Christian residential organisation across the UK
The CSC Buying Group was set up to support Christian and other charitable organisations, by helping them to save time, money, and resource on everyday purchases, they can release funds into their God-given mission. We believe God calls us to be good stewards of our resources. So, by using the principle of economies of scale across our member base, we negotiate improved pricing and discounts that our members can access through our recommended suppliers all of which must align with our Christian ethos and approach.
We now support a wide range of organisations including C of E Schools, Bible Colleges, Churches, Care Homes & Hospices, Community Groups, Conference Centres, Indoor & Outdoor Activity Centres plus organisations outside the Christian and charity sectors.
All the annual trading profits generated by CSC Buying Group are donated to CRNet to support its work within Christian residential ministries, with specific focus on impacting more lives with the gospel.
Since 2020 CRNet has been using part of the trading profits generated by the CSC Buying Group to administer a bursary fund named the David Chilcott Fund and it has been a great joy and privilege to support disadvantaged children and young people in this way, helping them to attend Christian holidays and camps through bursary grants.
Last year, the Fund was able to provide the following support:
- 21 different summer camp providers received £12,482.50 to enable 123 young people to attend. That’s an average award of £101.48!
We would love to see more children and young people benefit from DCF bursaries and the gospel challenge that Christian camps and holidays provide. Why not promote the Fund to those in need who wish to attend the holidays provided by CRNet members?
Details of the Fund and its criteria can be found on our website at www.crnet.org.uk/the-david-chilcott-fund
